February 12 2016
A poetry reading will be held in conjunction with “Lyric Visions, Part II” at State of the Art Gallery in downtown Ithaca, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14 as part of 2016 Arts Alive. Organized by Elmira College’s Jan Kather, former (2013-2014) Tompkins County Poet Laureate Tish Pearlman, and State of the Art Gallery artist Barbara Mink, “Lyric Visions, Part II” is a collaborative poetry-art exhibition featuring visual works of art created by members of State of the Art Gallery in response to poetry written by 16 regional poets. The exhibition, which is on display through February 28, features paintings, drawings, photographs, prints and sculpture. During the February 14 event, poets will read while positioned with the artwork that was inspired by their poem.
