Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, Elmira College will move to an all-inclusive tuition rate of $41,900. The all-inclusive rate reflects the College’s decision to eliminate all mandatory fees, including activity and technology fees, laboratory, course and all other previously-charged mandatory fees.
“We are committed to offering our students a top-tier education, and that includes a transparent fee structure,” said Christopher Coons, Vice President of Enrollment Management. “Students will be able to complete their undergraduate coursework without worrying about added course or lab fees.”
Additionally, the standard annual room and board charges, which are $6,400 for a residence hall double and $5,600 for board, will remain the same for 2016-2017. Preferential housing options, as in the past, will be subject to higher rates that are also unchanged.
These 2016-17 rates, when including elimination of all fees, represent only a net increase of approximately 2 percent, for a total annual cost that remains comparatively low among private colleges and universities in the region.
