Eli Young Band took the stage, Friday, April 1st, at the First Arena. The concert, presented by Elmira College, featured the Grammy-nominated group with special guest and opening act, Austin Moody.
With three No. 1 hits under their belt as well as a Grammy nomination and an Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year for their hit “Crazy Girl,” the Eli Young Band is one of the hottest country music groups on tour. Up for “2016 Vocal Group of the Year” through the Academy of Country Music, the Eli Young Band took the stage at the First Arena just two days before the ACM Awards.
Joining Eli Young Band as the opening act, was rising country star Austin Moody. Moody is working with Grammy-award winning producer Keith Stegall, music industry heavyweight Mike Kraski and hit songwriter D. Vincent Williams. He recently signed a publishing deal with M-Pact Music Group based in Nashville. Moody also presented a free acoustic performance at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Turtle Leaf Café, East Water Street, Elmira.
Doors for the Friday evening performances opened at 7:00 p.m. with Austin Moody taking the stage at 8:00 p.m. WENY, Wiggle 100, and 99.5 WOKN joined Elmira College and the First Arena in welcoming the Eli Young Band to Elmira.
