Reunion 2016 is just one week away and the Planning Committee is pleased to welcome alumna Kim Curtis ‘83, a nationally recognized wealth management advisor, as one of the weekend’s speakers.
Curtis is President and CEO of Wealth Legacy Institute based in Denver, Colorado, and has been published in a variety of publications including the Wall Street Journal. Her groundbreaking work in developing a highly personal client-centric legacy planning model was recognized in the Journal of Practical Estate Planning, winning the Editor's Choice award. This model is the cornerstone of her firm’s holistic and highly successful approach to integrated wealth management.
Prior to founding Wealth Legacy Institute, Curtis was a senior financial advisor at American Express Financial Advisors from 1992 to 2007 and regional vice president of the American Arbitration Association from 1985 to 1992. Curtis has attained numerous professional designations recognized by the financial planning industry as having achieved the highest level of competence and expertise in comprehensive financial planning. Curtis holds an MSJA from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, an MSFS from the American College in finance and a B.A. from Elmira College in judicial administration. She is the past president of the Women’s Estate Planning Council and currently serves on the Alumni Board of Elmira College.
