Three Mark Twain-inspired murals, created by Ithaca artist Wayne D. Stokes, were recently donated to the Quarry Farm Barn by mural owners, Joe Caparulo and Lynne Rusinko ‘90.

Caparulo commissioned the murals in the 1980’s to hang on the walls of his Elmira gift store, Cappy’s.  After the store closed in 2015, the murals were donated to the Center for Mark Twain Studies and moved to Quarry Farm.

The murals were on display for the May 11, The Trouble Begins at Eight lecture at Quarry Farm, which featured a presentation by Joseph Csicsila, Professor of English Language and Literature at Eastern Michigan University.
