September 14 2016
The Office of Career Services will host the annual Community Service Fair on Friday, September 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Speidel Gymnasium. This event is focused on helping students find local opportunities to complete their 60-hour volunteer and community service requirement and features over 60 organizations offering volunteer opportunities in a variety of discipline areas.
In the 2015-2016 academic year, Elmira College students completed 15,780 hours of community service throughout the Southern Tier Region.
Through their service hours, students become increasingly aware of the need for human service, appreciate the concept of volunteerism, develop compassion for those in need, and experience the rewards of community involvement.
Community organizations attending the event display materials, distribute information, talk with and recruit students to assist with the immediate and long-term needs of the organization.
For additional assistance, please contact the Office of Career Services at (607) 735-1830 or email@example.com.
