Big Event - "You Ain’t Heard Country Yet” featuring Josh Thompson

The Big Events Committee is thrilled to announce this term’s Big Event, “You Ain’t Heard Country Yet” featuring Josh thompson on Monday, April 1st in the Speidel Gymnasium at 9:00 p.m.!

Josh Thompson is known for his debut album Way Out Here, producing 3 top 40 hits including “Beer on the Table”, “Way Out Here” and “Won’t be Lonely Long”. He has performed on Brad Paisley’s H2O tour in 2010, and with Eric Church. Along with performing, Josh has co-written songs for Brad Paisley (“This is Country Music”) and for Jason Aldean (“Church Pew or Bar Stool”). The show will be opened by both Brent Cobb (one of Nashville’s most promising country singer-songwriters whose songs are sung by stars such as Luke Bryan, David Nail, Kellie Pickler and the Eli Young Band) and Brynn Marie (a vocalist and opening act, working with artists like Darius Rucker, Darryl Worley, Joe Dee Messina, Loretta Lynn, Terri Clark, Mark Wills, Aaron Tippin, and Phil Vassar, among others).

You may purchase up to two tickets at $10 each at the Gibson Theatre Box Office now! Additional tickets are $20 each. Public tickets are also now on sale. To purchase your ticket(s), visit the Elmira College Box Office in Gibson Theatre. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and will stay open until 9:30 p.m. on the night of the show. The Box Office phone number is 735-1853. Your proper Elmira College identification card and a valid form of photo identification for each guest must be presented with your ticket(s) as you enter the show. Please note that you must accompany your guest(s) to the performance or they will not be admitted. Please keep in mind that while they are on campus, you are responsible for their behavior.

We need you to be aware that this is an ALCOHOL- and SUBSTANCE-FREE event. You and your guest(s) will also not be permitted to enter the concert with anything but your proper student or photo ID (no cameras, NO PURSES, no handbags, no containers, et al.).
