John Muir is credited with having introduced the world to the Alaskan territory and wildlife. His work was largely the result of journeys he took through Alaska. We will be studying the ecology and conservation of the Alaskan territory. Our focus will be on the flora and fauna of the Kenai Peninsula. This will occur both on campus for the first week and in Alaska for two and a half weeks. Upon returning to campus students will present their chosen research projects. Students will also have the opportunity to experience Alaskan culture and society. Airfare, Lodging, most all meals, entrance and tour fees, passes and transportation cost in Alaska are included in the cost of the trip.
