Off-Campus Access to Library Databases and Online Journals

Off-campus access to the Gannett-Tripp Library's databases is available to all current Elmira College students, staff, and faculty.

• Go to the Library Web site
• Click a database link; a login screen appears
• The login screen asks for your last name and your entire 10-digit barcode, with no spaces
• Your barcode can be found on the back of your College ID card
• Click the Submit button to be connected to the database
• You will not have to log in again if you want to use a different database (your login information is stored for about two hours)

• Make sure that your Web browser's security setting is at Medium or lower; otherwise, your computer will not accept our system's login cookie. (To check this in Internet Explorer: Tools → Internet Options → Security tab)
• Contact the Research Help Desk at (607) 735-1864 (on campus: x1864) or by e-mail at resdesk@elmira.edu for a temporary alternate username and password. Please provide your full name and barcode number, so a staff member can check the status of your barcode in our library system. Any changes will take effect within 1-2 business days.
