Now that you have enrolled at EC you will need to secure your F-1 Student Visa from the United States government. As soon as the Office of Admissions has received your Certification of Finances (link) and supporting documentation, we will send you the I-20 form and official copies of your acceptance and financial aid award letters. Don’t worry, we will also include a pre-arrival handbook with information explaining how to go about getting your US Student Visa and offering information about what you can expect when you arrive on campus.
Let us know when you will be arriving! Once you have made your travel plans let the Office of Admissions know when you will be arriving. If your are flying into the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport or riding the bus to the Elmira Bus Station, a member of our admissions staff will meet you and bring you to campus. If you arrive by alternate means, let us know when to expect you so we can meet you and have your room ready.
Get ready to have some fun! The International Student Orientation program will help you adjust to Elmira College, learn what you need to know about the requirements necessary to maintain your visa status, and get ready for a great start to your academic career. The program is planned by our Director of Multicultural and International Student Services and staffed by our vibrant Orientation Leaders.
Before you know it your first year will be completed and you will not be able to wait for summer to be over so the academic year will start again.
