What I love about my job:

When not helping to bring new students to Elmira College, I am advising the current student-run club, Colleges Against Cancer. This club is dedicated to teaching the College community about preventing cancer and helping to raise money for cancer research.

Favorite place on campus:
Outside by the Puddle on Carnegie Lawn. On beautiful sunny days I will bring my dog, Rocky, over to run around and play ball. After tiring ourselves out we will rest in the shade of one of the big beautiful trees on the hill and relax.

Anything with peanut butter and chocolate.

Travel Area:
New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester County, the five boroughs, and the Hudson Valley.

Office Responsibilities:
I work with students from all of my travel areas and am also the Adviser for the Overnight Program at Elmira. This program allows prospective students the opportunity to stay overnight with a current student at EC, as well as attend classes in an academic area of interest, club meetings, eat the cuisine, and stay in a typical dorm room. This is a great way for students interested in Elmira College to ensure that the College is a great “fit” for them for the next four years.

Favorite place on campus:
My favorite place on campus is the 1855 room. It is the perfect place to sit down with friends and grab a bite to eat or order a quick latte before class. The atmosphere is great with a movie displayed on the big screen, or music playing in the background.

Favorite Place on Campus:
The Murray Athletics Center (better known to EC students as The Domes) is beyond a doubt my favorite place. The Domes are where the college houses their ice hockey rink, one of the basketball courts, tennis courts, batting cages, cheer mats, two grass fields, locker rooms, training rooms, and much, much more. Although the Domes reside 10 miles away from campus, I never felt like it was a separate entity, rather an extension of campus. As a field hockey player during my undergraduate career, I could always guarantee that rain or shine my best friends would be the first ones in the stands cheering me on.
