Katrina Uhly ’04

English Literature and Spanish

Katrina is a Ph.D. student at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and she is currently in France studying the internationalization of higher education and what its implications are for social stratifications. Both her English Literature and Spanish majors influenced Katrina and prepared her for this position. “I took courses that introduced me to literary and social theory, which gave me a helpful foundation for graduate school,” Katrina says. “I especially thank my professors MaryJo Mahoney, Mitchell Lewis, Lynne Diamond-Nigh, and Michael Kiskis!”
Katrina also participated in the Junior Year Abroad program, spending her entire junior year in Madrid, Spain. “This deeply impacted me and oriented me toward my graduate degrees in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Politics and Sociology.”
