Kimber Auerbach ’05
Communications
When Kimber put his passion for hockey together with his love of writing, he decided to pursue a career as a hockey writer. He is now the Director of Communications for the New York Islanders. While at Elmira College, Kimber interned at the Star Gazette, the local Elmira newspaper. “I learned a lot from the editors and writers there as they started me on small projects, and by the end of the internship, I was writing feature stories on my teammates on the EC varsity team, as well as for the professional hockey team in town, the Elmira Jackals. When I graduated, I continued my education at Quinnipiac University and earned my master’s degree in Journalism.”
