“Elmira College: The only other place in the world that feels like home.”
Did you participate in an overnight when you were a perspective student? Did it help you with your decision?
By the time I did my overnight I had already sent in my confirmation fee to keep my spot at Elmira. So I was already pretty much sold on the idea of coming here. However, actually staying on the campus and living in the dorm was the best thing I could have ever done during my college application process. It was also the worst because after staying here for a night it was horrible having to wait with such anticipation an additional 5 months to come back and stay here for real in my own room!
What are your plans for the future?
After graduating, I plan on entering the career field of investigational work and eventually hoping to join the ranks of the FBI’s International Special Victims Unit.
What is your favorite tradition?
My favorite tradition would have to be the singing. Simeon Benjamin is my absolute favorite song and some of the best friends I have here were made while joining together and singing our college song. No matter how horrible we sounded.
Have any faculty members or administrators helped you? How?
Working with the GA’s has actually been the biggest help I’ve had here. They’ve been through everything one can go through as a student here on campus and have become an amazing support system through my transition here at Elmira College.
