Position in Chemistry

Elmira College invites applications for a one-year position in chemistry beginning fall semester 2017. Applicants are expected to possess a Ph.D. with a specialty in analytical and/or physical chemistry and experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Responsibilities will primarily involve teaching, with the opportunity to conduct research with students. The candidate may also have the opportunity to continue with an anticipated tenure-track position beginning in the fall of 2018.

Elmira College, the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies, is a small, well-established, residential, liberal arts college in a pleasant community in the Finger Lakes region of New York State (county population 88,000).
