Two Elmira College students, Waeya Lin '16 and Christina Kim '16, recently competed in the 2016 National Collegiate Taekwondo Association Championships in Boulder, CO.  The 41st annual competition hosted several hundred college students from across the country.  EC’s Lin won gold in men's green belt forms, while Kim took gold in both of her competitions - women's blue belt forms, and women's green/blue belt flyweight sparring.

The National Collegiate Taekwondo Association (1976) was formed in 1970 by a group of collegiate martial arts instructors. It works to promote Taekwondo in colleges and universities and to create a better understanding of the culture and philosophy of Taekwondo. The NCTA Championships are a USA Taekwondo-sanctioned event and serve as a qualifier for the 2016 USA Taekwondo National Championships.
