In celebration of the upcoming Presidents' Day holiday on February 20, we are looking back at campus visits and connections with former First Ladies.

In 1932, Mrs. Herbert Hoover planted a tree on campus with the College’s President Lent.

Also, Mary Lord Harrison, wife of U.S. President Benjamin Harrison, was a student at Elmira College. She is pictured below with Mrs. Hoover (center) and alum, Mrs. Leon LeWald.
