The Vagina Monologues

As part of this week’s Reinstein Symposium, Students Against Sexism and Stereotypes (SASS) together with the Women and Gender Studies Program are presenting two performances of The Vagina Monologues on Tuesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 14.

The first performance will be held in MacKenzie’s, located on the first floor of the Campus Center, at 8:00 p.m., with the Valentine’s Day performance in Watson Theatre at 4:00 p.m.

In addition to the performances, students will be fundraising for the Sexual Assault Resource Center and the V-Day Spotlight Campaign: Ending Violence Against Women in the Workplace.

The Vagina Monologues, written by Eve Ensler, is an Obie Award-winning show that introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices. The characters include a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a survivor of rape, and a feminist.

Both performances are free and open to the public.
